Voucher Payment Standards
Voucher payment standards determine how much Seattle Housing Authority will pay for your rent and utilities.
Utility Estimates
Voucher payment standards include an amount for utilities. These amounts vary for different Voucher/unit sizes.
Income & Family Changes
All changes in income or changes in household members must be reported in writing within 10 business days.
Reviews & Inspections
Income, family composition, and immigration status are typically reviewed once a year. Subsidized units are also inspected once a year.
Moving
After your initial lease term expires, you can use your housing voucher for a different unit. You can also move outside of Seattle.
Accessibility Accommodations
Seattle Housing Authority will provide reasonable accessibility accommodations upon request.
Termination
There are a number of circumstances under which your Housing Choice Voucher assistance could be terminated.
